Meet Lydie!
I am from a small town in Minnesota where I participated in numerous job opportunities from writing for the local newspaper to stocking shelves at Trader Joe's. While in high school, I received my Associate of Arts at the local community college.

Upon my senior year of high school, I decided to pursue my passion for journalism in the nation's media epicenter: Washington, D.C. A second-year student at George Washington University, I will graduate in Fall 2024 with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in Political Science.

I am a Staff Writer and a former Fact Checker for The GW Hatchet, the independent student-run newspaper. This past summer, I received exposure to the world of public affairs and communication as an intern with the Minnesota Department of Transportation. This semester, I am studying international reporting in Prague, Czechia and am interning with Transitions Magazine to expand my journalistic skills with an international audience.
